Public Company, general partner to 20 Limited Partnerships invested in the oil exploration business. Raised $25 million of tax shelter money for exploration. Acquired Beacon Petroleum Corporation, Houston Texas, and Caddo Oil Field Services Inc. In a $1 million acquisition. The company then made a friendly takeover bid for Iroquois Brands Inc. The control of Iroquois, the first junk bond financed company by Michael Milken and Drexel Burnham Lambert, was available for $10,000,000 cash from the control group. We offered, $12,000,000 for the control stock and some other stock and raised the funds using real estate collateral from Wertheim Schroeder. I was CFO and secretary of Northstar. Iroquois had $25 million in cash assets, and we were interested in using it as a vehicle to do an upwell rehabilitation program in various fields in Louisiana and Texas. A competing bid, and the ill health of the CEO prevented the deal from going through.

To sell securities and make deals and funded it in a private placement of $5 million. The company then did a reverse merger into an over the counter bulletin board company and went public. The company was composed of myself, and a former Drexel Burnham banker and John Heatherington an aerotech executive, former president of Dunlap Aircraft Tires Inc. The company did business until 1991, at which time it closed due to one of the owners catastrophic fatal illness.
